Google Analytics is a great free tool to help you understand what is happening on your website. It is such a great tool that everyone should use it.
So go to Google Analytics, explore and set up an account.
Now you need to add the account code to your website. If you are using a WordPress blog as your site, find a free plugin for Google Analytics. Then add the code to the activated plugin.
Once the code has been added to your site, go back and check the analytics in a few days. You should start to see statistics. If you don’t see statistics in a few days, recheck that the code has been added correctly.
What can Google Analytics show you?
Google analytics is full of interesting statics. Too many to cover all of them here. But you will find a few that you will want to follow every week.
One that should be mentioned is the bounce rate. You want that rate to be as low as possible. Because it reflects the number of visitors that come and leave immediately. You want to attract visitors interested in your site and who will stay and read your content. Bouncers are of no use to you.
