Keywords are the term or phrase used by an Internet searcher to find the answer to his/her question. These Internet keywords are placed in the search box of the search engine they choose to use.
The results of the search are pages on the Internet the meet the search requirements (Keyword Phrase). And the more general the keyword phrase the more pages are found.
Keyword Research
This term refers to the act of finding the keywords used by Internet searchers to find a specific website or product.
You can use any number of keyword search tools to find these keyword phrases. Or you can think like a person who wants to find your target and make a list of the search terms you think they would use.
But once you have created your list of appropriate keywords, you need to test each on in a search engine to be sure the results are what your thought they would be. And if not, remove that keyword or keywords from your list.
