Smart Goals Modesto
Smart Goals
Smart goals are specific, measurable, attainable, realistic and timely for your online business. It is important to your online business that you have goals and that they are smart goals.
But smart goals by themselves are useless. You must take action to reach these goals for them to do your business any good.
Just any goal will not necessarily help your business grow. They need to be smart goals and you need to take action.
Example
Each business is different and the business owner is in the best position to determine the best smart goals.
Here is just one example. Your online business is selling an eBook about race cars. You have a blog as your business website. You have a Google Analytics account set up on your blog. One of your smart goals could be increasing your unique visitor traffic by 50% over the next twelve months.
Your current unique visitor traffic is 100 unique visitors per month according to Google Analytics. You need 150 unique visitors each month to reach this goal. You decide to use article marketing to increase your traffic. You feel that this goal is measurable, attainable, reasonable and timely to your business.
So you take action and start to market with articles on a weekly basis. After the first month your unique visitor rate has increase to 110 visitor per month.
With 11 more months to go, it seems that this goal is still attainable, reasonable and timely for your business. You just need to keep up the rate of article marketing to reach your goal. But you need to keep measuring your progress to be sure.
Goals without action are useless.

Goal Setting
Goal Setting
You are a business owner and know the value of yearly and long term goals for your off line business. Well goals are just as important for your online business. So you should have a set of smart goals for your online business each year.
Smart Goals
Smart goals are specific, measurable, attainable, realistic and timely. If your goals are not smart goals then they may not work or may not be measurable. If you can’t measure your goal how will you know when you reached it?
Goals Are Not Enough
Just having set your goals is not enough. You must take action and measure the results of that action on a regular basis (usually monthly).
So if you don’t have any online goals – set them and in any case take action to attain them.
